Tanah milik daerah merupakan salah satu aset strategis yang memiliki nilai ekonomi, sosial, dan pembangunan yang sangat besar. Namun demikian, dalam praktiknya masih banyak aset tanah milik pemerintah daerah yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal (idle), sehingga belum memberikan manfaat maksimal bagi masyarakat maupun pemerintah daerah. Kondisi tersebut menjadi tantangan sekaligus peluang bagi pemerintah daerah untuk melakukan pengelolaan aset yang lebih efektif, produktif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Buku ini membahas berbagai konsep, teori, dan strategi yang berkaitan dengan pengelolaan aset tanah milik daerah, mulai dari pemahaman mengenai Barang Milik Daerah (BMD), karakteristik tanah idle, potensi pemanfaatannya, hingga keterkaitannya dengan peningkatan PAD. Selain itu, buku ini juga mengulas pendekatan strategis melalui analisis Resource-Based View (RBV), VRIO, dan Highest and Best Use (HBU) sebagai landasan dalam merumuskan alternatif pemanfaatan aset yang lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan.
